The 2017-18 season will be the 13th as head women's basketball coach for the Lady Bisons' Tim Kirby. He has led the Lady Bisons to 11 straight conference tournament berths and directed the 2017 team to a 31-4 record and an appearance in the national semifinals.
Kirby's teams have won Great American Conference regular-season championships in 2014, 2015 and 2017, qualifying for the NCAA Division II National Tournament all three seasons. The 2015 and 2017 teams also won the GAC Tournament.
In his 12 seasons as head coach, Kirby has compiled a 241-111 overall record.
Kirby has coached 28 all-conference honorees, two conference players of the year and three conference freshmen of the year.
Kirby's first 12 years at Harding were spent as assistant men's basketball coach. The Bisons earned nine postseason playoff appearances while Kirby assisted head coach Jeff Morgan.
Before coming to Harding, Kirby spent five years at NJCAA member Carl Albert State College in Poteau, Oklahoma. Kirby was the assistant men's basketball coach from 1988-1990 and head men's basketball coach from 1990-1993.
Coach Kirby's playing experience was at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1986. His master's degree was earned from GAC member institution, East Central University, in 1990.
The Lawton, Oklahoma, native and wife, Kathy, have two sons, Zach and Mitchell.
Assistant Women's Basketball Coach
Weston Jameson is in his second season as assistant women's basketball at Harding in 2016-17. In his first season, Jameson helped lead the Lady Bisons to a second-place finish in the Great American Conference regular season.
Prior to Harding
Jameson worked as the junior boys head coach and senior boys assistant coach at Central Arkansas Christian School in North Little Rock in 2014-15.
Jameson was a three-year starter and four-year letter winner at point guard for the Harding men's basketball team from 2010-14. He had 474 assists in his time as a Bison, fourth on Harding's career list, and helped lead the Bisons to the 2014 Great American Conference Tournament championship. Jameson played in three NCAA Division II Tournaments during his career.
Jameson graduated from Harding in December 2013 with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology.
He is married to the former Lauren Harrison of Searcy, a member of the Harding women's basketball team from 2010-14.
